Services

What services does Bayline provide?

Door-through-door transportation for people who need help getting to and from healthcare services — including wheelchair, stretcher (gurney), and ambulatory rides for medical appointments, therapy sessions, dialysis, hospital discharges, and other healthcare needs.

Who can use Bayline?

Our services are designed for people with limited mobility, who use a wheelchair, require stretcher transportation, or have medical conditions that make travel difficult — as well as anyone who needs reliable transportation to and from healthcare appointments.

How do I know which ride type I need?

Choose ambulatory if the rider can walk with little or no help, wheelchair if they use a wheelchair and can stay seated, and stretcher if they need to stay lying down. See our ride comparison, or call and we’ll help you choose.

Are your vehicles equipped for wheelchairs and stretchers?

Yes. Our vehicles are equipped to safely transport riders using wheelchairs and stretchers, and our trained drivers make sure all mobility equipment is properly secured.

Are your drivers background-checked and trained?

Yes. Every Bayline driver passes a background check and drug test and is trained in CPR/First Aid, wheelchair securement, and HIPAA privacy.

Is Bayline licensed and insured?

Bayline is a Medi-Cal approved provider and carries commercial auto, general liability, and workers’ compensation insurance. We’ve served the East Bay since 2018.

Can a caregiver or family member ride along?

Yes. Additional seats are available for caregivers and family members, depending on the vehicle.

Is Bayline an ambulance service?

No. Bayline provides non-emergency medical transportation. If you have a medical emergency, call 911.

Pricing & payment

How much does a ride cost?

Every ride gets one flat quote before you book. Your price depends on:

  • The type of ride (ambulatory, wheelchair, or stretcher)
  • Distance from pickup to destination
  • One-way or round trip

Call, text, or request a quote and we’ll give you the price up front.

How do I pay?

Families and individuals pay privately by debit or credit card. If you have questions about billing, please contact our team.

Do you bill facilities directly?

Yes. Hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and clinics can be set up for invoiced billing. Visit For Facilities to get started.
